How to Schedule Maintenance
During the warranty period, do not carry out repairs on the generating set yourself.
The warranty is void if the products are repaired by unauthorized personnel.
Use only original spare parts.
MAINTENANCE OPERATIONS

- Only qualified personnel or electricians can carry out connection to the mains. Do not improvise yourself as an installer as you could incur electric shock or damage to the house.
- Stop the generator set and place it on a flat surface.
- Put the key in the OFF position and remove it from the control panel (if applicable).
- Wait for the machine to cool down.
- Disconnect the starting battery, (if applicable).
- Turn off the voltage by disconnecting the machine from any power source, such as preheating systems, grid detection devices or transfer switch, battery charger, etc ... (if applicable).

- Do not clean the generating set with thinners, alcohol, acids or other aggressive products.
- Do not use pressure washers on electrical and electronic components such as alternator, electric panel, engine electronic control units, etc...

- Maintenance must be performed by skilled personnel. We always recommend that you evaluate with your trusted Reseller, right from the purchase of the generator, signing an annual assistance and maintenance contract.
PERFORM THE FOLLOWING CHECKS ON THE MACHINE, ON A WEEKLY BASIS.

First, if your generator is equipped with a controller with display, check for eventual messages and/or warnings.
First, if your generator is equipped with a controller with display, check for eventual messages and/or warnings.
- Perform a general visual check of good condition of components, the absence of liquid leaks or spillage inside the machine canopy and the installation room.
- Keep the ventilation inlets and outlets clean. They have not to be clogged with leaves or any waste papers.
- Check the integrity of the lifting points.
- Check the tightness of the anti-vibration plug bolts.
- Check oil level.
- Check coolant level.
- Check the state of wear of the fan belt.
- Check for the presence of water in the diesel pre-filter (check fuel tank).
- Check the air filter for clogging and cleanliness.
- Check the fuel level in the tank. Whenever necessary refill it.
- Check that tank or fuel circuit are not leaking.
- Check for the presence of water in the fuel tank (if present in the pre-filter).
- Check the integrity of the alternator parts and electrical cables
- Check the integrity of components, instruments, switches, earth-fault breakers, protections and accessories.
- Check for any electrolyte leakage.
- Check the battery fluid level (not necessary for GEL battery type)
- Check that the batteries are connected (ON)
In addition to these checks, you will need to verify that the periodic maintenance has been carried out within the expected times and methods.
DOWNLOAD TABLES

As a general guideline, we provide you with these downloadable tables in pdf format, so that you can get an idea of how maintenance should be organized.
Each engine and alternator manufacturer provides specific maintenance and inspection intervals for each model: always refer to the engine and alternator use and maintenance manuals supplied with the generator set, and keep them in your archive.

SOME FURTHER ADVICES

- If the engine runs at high temperatures or under heavy loads, change the oil more frequently than instructed in the manual.
- If the engine operates in dusty or poor environmental conditions, clean the air cleaner element each time you use it. If necessary, reduce 50% the number of hours indicated for replacing the air filter element.
- If you missed the scheduled date for engine maintenance, do it as soon as possible.
